The sense of community throughout Burke is warm and inviting. A huge highlight every fall is the annual Burke Centre Festival which brings crafts, performances, food, karaoke and more to the area every fall.
Every Saturday morning from April to December every year, you will find a bountiful array of produce and goods for sale at the Burke Farmer's market.
Commuting from Burke into DC is a breeze with easy access to bus routes and major commuter routes and the ease to and from DC is enhanced with TWO VRE stations right in Burke itself. The VRE stops in Burke Centre and Rolling Road allow for convenient access from 5:30am to 8:15am into the city and bring neighbors home between 2pm and 7:30pm (for specific schedules and times, see the VRE schedule here).
With many well-established neighborhoods, Burke residents enjoy tree-lined streets and access to numerous outdoor activities at local parks.
