Annandale is situated along the Capital Beltway (I-495), just 20 minutes outside Washington DC.  With 495 dividing the city, communities inside the Beltway offer a unique living experience compared to those outside the Beltway.  Inside the Beltway, neighborhoods include condominium communities, townhome enclaves and single family home developments; all with nearby access to diverse dining, shopping and entertainment options.  Outside the Beltway, neighborhoods are primarily comprised of single family homes with a few townhome communities.  Both inside and outside the Beltway, Annandale residents have access to beautiful parks and vibrant communities. 

Learning

Annandale Virginia is located within the award-winning Fairfax County Public School system.   Students in Annandale attend Annandale High School, Falls Church High School or WT Woodson High School.  With a  Northern Virginia Community College campus located in Annandale and George Mason University  in neighboring Fairfax; higher learning opportunities are plentiful for Annandale residents. 

Getting Around

Many Annandale communities are located 5 minutes, or less, to the Capital Beltway - offering easy access to points in and around Washington DC.  Public transportation options include Metro Bus and  Fairfax Connector bus options (including Pentagon Express bus routes).  The Orange Line of the Metro train has stops just north of Annandale in nearby Dunn Loring and West Falls Church.
