DDA Real Estate Matters

Mimi Nguyen is the realtor that you drop all of the others for. She is truly excellent. And, I say this with full knowledge that there are many other good realtors out there. In fact, we met many of them at open houses, on zillow, in the circuit of looking at houses... but they were just "other kids on the playground". It felt like they were not listening to what we wanted. They bombarded us with junk emails and texts. My husband actually started a "three strikes you're out" policy. Then we happened upon Mimi.

She listened, and she found us houses that we actually wanted to see. If we could not see them quickly, then she took on the footwork for us, sending us videos and her advice. She got our feet in the door (literally and figuratively) of houses that we were interested in...all of this in a tough buyer's market. She was knowledgeable and savvy. She helped us choose a price for the house we won and I never doubted that she only had our best interests in mind. Mimi is the woman you want in your corner. In the end, she got us our dream house, in our dream school district, in our dream neighborhood and at our dream price. She knows negotiations. We were not the highest offer, but, because of her, we got the house.

Also, I am a highly anxious person, and she is available at all hours and at the drop of a text. Her attentiveness and responsiveness is impressive.

I am only willing to share how great she is because we have exhausted our time with her and now need to share her with the masses. Honestly you cannot do better. If she will take you on as a client, I'd jump on it.

Harrison was invaluable in helping us buy our forever home.  We love where we ended up and credit Harrison with making it happen.  We interviewed several agents before selecting Harrison to represent us; ultimately, we thought that Harrison was our best chance to get into the right home as fast as possible. 

There were several things that proved to us we made the right decision.   First, he really helped us figure out what we needed for our family long term and what compromises we were willing to make and, as importantly, not make.   Harrison has a knack for asking the right questions and raising considerations that we had not even thought about, without imposing his own preferences.  He also helped us keep our eye on long term value.

Second, Harrison knows Fairfax County, our search area, inside and out.  He was able to tell us how former clients had renovated their same model houses, what neighborhoods people tried to move out of soon after they bought, and so on.

Next, Harrison was truly interested in making sure we bought the right home for us.   We could count on him to be honest with us – about the houses themselves, about whether we were panicking or heading to a bad decision, about the feasibility of certain houses.   In our initial meeting, he clearly explained the state of the market and what we could expect.   It leveled our expectations while also reassuring us that we could find a great house.

Finally, he really understands the process and added value at each stage.  Everyone Harrison recommended was a consummate professional who helped move the process forward.   He also was constantly reaching out to other agents to learn about the houses and what the owners were looking for in an offer.  He worked with us and shaped our offer to be as competitive as possible.  We actually were able to buy our house despite a higher offer.

Harrison has other clients but you wouldn’t know it.  He was available whenever we needed him and extremely fast on answering our questions.   He’s positive, detail-oriented, professional, and a pleasure to work with and know.   We can’t recommend him highly enough.
